The Dutch Harrie Tillie Prize for contemporary interior and product design is awarded every two years to a current Dutch designer who works internationally. The criteria for the award of this prize are substantive persuasion, craftsmanship, originality, and the sociocultural context of the nominees and their work. The five nominees for 2015 were: Aldo Bakker, Atelier Van Lieshout, Christien Meindertsma, Kossmann.dejong and …,staat.

Atelier Van Lieshout was pronounced the winner of the 2015 Harrie Tillie Prize.

Maurice Mentjens designed the exhibition which showcased the works of the nominees. The exhibition ran from 13 December 2015 to 13 March 2016 at the Cuypershuis in Roermond, the Netherlands.

For the design of the exhibition, Maurice Mentjens wanted to create a simple and balanced presentation that would remain in the background.

The objects of the exhibition are the main attraction, after all. As the budget was limited, a simple but good quality design was created that would leave sufficient funds for graphic design, lettering, and printing.

Five islands were constructed on which the nominees could create their own worlds. This allowed each nominee to design their own exhibit.
